Posted November 3, 2009: Dollar$ Not Decay 2009
2009 was our best year ever! We collected 667 pounds from 134 kids! At two dollars a pound that means Timberhill Dental gave away $1,334! Dr Black is generously making a matching donation based on the amount of candy received to The Boys and Girls Club Dental Clinic to help deliver free dental services to low income children.
Dr Black is thrilled about the generosity of some of the children who received money this year. Several kids are giving their money to Heartland Humane Society. Another family will be giving half of what they earned to Corvallis Food Share.
One child is using their money to put toward their Washington DC trip, another toward an upcoming Disneyland vacation. Several kids are just going to save it until they find something special they want. Another family headed straight to the bookstore. And, this was the perfect opportunity for a little girl who is diabetic to enjoy trick-or-treating without wondering what to do with all of the candy she can't eat.
Mark your calendars for November 1, 2010 and help us beat our record of 667 pound collected!
Posted August 17, 2009: Patient Appreciation Tailgater 2009
Dr. Black & staff, Benny Beaver, the OSU Cheerleaders, and our patients had a blast at our 2009 Patient Appreciation Tailgater! We had a BBQ dinner (catered by BLOCK 15) & dessert to celebrate our GREAT patients and the beginning of the OSU football season!
Activities included: prizes, games, a bounce house, balloons, face painting, and a LIVE BAND!
If you missed out on the fun this year, plan on coming next year for sure!!

NICE WEATHER!! A HUGE SUCCESS!! TONS OF FUN!!
Dr. Black, his staff, and our wonderfull patients had a blast at our annual swim party at Otter Beach on Tuesday, July 21st.
We can't wait until next year!

Welcome to Cooper Andrews!
He arrived at 7:48 pm on Friday April 3rd. He was 9.5 pounds and 23.25 inches long. Dusty has already signed him up to play basketball! Marie, Dusty, big sister Mya, and Cooper are all happy and doing well.

Posted January 29, 2009: Guatemala 2009
On January 10-24, Dr Black and Tina took a team of people to Guatemala to provide dentistry to the local people, and to work with the children in the nearby schools with an organization called, Salud y Paz.
We worked in a local clinic for 2 days, and then traveled to several villages to perform rural dentistry (extractions only). It was an enjoyable experience to meet and serve the wonderful people of Guatemala.
Everyone is looking forward to returning in 2010!

The Velscope Oral Cancer Screening System is an easy-to-use examination system for the early detection of abnormal tissue. It allows Dr. Black to see several tissue layers deep for early cancer detection. Every patient is screened during their hygiene exam.

90 children & adults attended our 3rd annual Swim Party at Osborn Aquatic Center. Fun was had by all!
Congratulations to our raffle winners who took home gelato gift cards, Carmike Cinema movie passes, a Nirvana Restaurant gift card, a Retreat gift card and a full-size foosball table.
