Meet The Timberhill Dental Team
Our Dentists
Kurt S. Black, DDS
Dr. Kurt Black decided he wanted to be a dentist at a very young age – even as a child he loved the combination of precision and compassion. He earned his bachelor’s degree in geology from Colorado College and in 1993 graduated at the top of his class from the University of Michigan Dental School. After completing a general dental residency at Oregon Health Sciences University, he served in the Army Dental Corp. in Heidelberg, Germany for four years.
In Corvallis, he’s become known as a different kind of dentist. His use of advanced dental technology and minimally invasive care, combined with a unique personal style, help to make his patients more comfortable and relaxed than they ever thought possible. Humanitarian dental relief is also a passion of Dr. Black and he, along with the Timberhill Dental team, have enjoyed volunteering in Corvallis as well as Jamaica, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic.
Dr. Black and his wife, Susan (an OSU alum), have been married since 1989 and have four children. They enjoy traveling, half marathons, and other outdoor activities including skiing, hiking, and river rafting.
Dr. Charles Eric Jones
Dr. Charles Eric Jones (call him Eric!) values hard work, dedication, and excellence in all that he does. He is a decorated US Air Force veteran and worked through school using the GI Bill and working nights and weekends.
After having worked in his own practice, Jones Family Dental in Brookings and Ashland for the last 16 years has joined Timberhill Dental.
His approach to care is simple and focuses on excellence, patient experience, and education. Through dentistry, he believes he can improve everyone’s life!
Dr. Martin Lindner
Dr. McMaster
Dr. Daniel McMaster completed his undergraduate degree at Portland State University, graduating in the top 10% of his class (Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society). He went on to complete his doctorate at Oregon Health and Sciences University. He is kept busy by his three young children alongside his demanding wife Katie. (Joking! She is great!) They also have two canine children, “The General” and “Bucky” in addition to their gray cat “Ralphie”. It’s pretty much a full house and always an adventure in their household. They enjoy spending time shuttling the kids to sports, visiting Disneyland, RV camping, and swimming.
From Dr. McMaster:
“Treating patients with genuine care and understanding is the heart of my practice philosophy. My goal is to first listen, then observe and seek to understand the individual needs of my patients. I want them to know we are working toward the same goal, which is to establish and maintain ideal oral health and esthetics. To accomplish this, I strive to continually educate myself as a provider by investing my time to stay informed regarding the newest technologies, dental materials, and the latest advancements in dentistry.”

Volunteer Work
Our dentists are passionate about volunteer work and providing dental care to a variety of great causes around the world. The Timberhill team has traveled to Guatemala, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic to provide pro bono dental care.
We work with great organizations like:

- Assistance League of Corvallis
- 1000 Smiles
Mouthguard Day
Over the years, we’ve made custom mouthguards for hundreds of local athletes. We love how sports help young people to develop leadership and teamwork skills, stay active, and see the value of working hard towards a shared goal.
Each year, we set aside a day where we work with local schools to provide free mouthguards. Our mouthguards help protect an athlete’s teeth when playing contact sports. Tooth loss can lead to lifelong dental health issues and we’ve heard from many parents who say that a mouthguard helped save their child’s tooth!
The Candy Dentists
In the Corvallis area, Timberhill Dental is affectionately known as the home of the “Candy Dentists” because of our innovative efforts to reduce tooth decay.
Since 2003, the Dollars-Not-Decay candy buyback campaign has purchased a total of more than 12,000 pounds of Halloween candy from local kids for $1 per pound — and made matching donations to some great local charities, too. We love seeing how excited kids get about having a little spending money while protecting their teeth at the same time!
