We hope that you and your family are in good health!

As you may have heard, Governor Brown recently announced that dental offices may return to performing elective dental care. As of May 1st, we’re back to seeing patients for cleanings, exams, and other non-urgent dental treatments.

Most importantly, we’re doing so safely.

Did you miss an appointment because of our closure?

If you had an appointment canceled during our 6-week closure, now is a great time to call and schedule: (541) 754-0144. In addition, we’ll also be reaching out to you if you have a 6-month cleaning coming up or have pending treatment needs.

Our continued dedication to sterilization and patient safety

Here at Timberhill Dental, we have always been extremely vigilant about our sterilization and cleaning practices.

We are now taking extensive measures to make sure that our staff and patients are safe and protected from COVID-19. We are following infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

New! Hospital-grade HVAC system

We also recently installed a completely new HVAC system which includes a hospital-grade air filter and purifying system. In fact, it is considerably more powerful than what you’ll find in most hospitals.

It will filter out and kill all pathogens — including the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Updates to our office procedures

Plus, we have also made the following updates to our inflection control systems to ensure staff and patient safety:

  • Communicating with you before your visit to ask a few simple screening questions. We’ll ask these questions again when you visit our office.
  • Providing hand sanitizer in our reception area and throughout the treatment areas — and requiring its use.
  • Limiting magazines, toys, and other amenities that are difficult to sanitize and that may provide a vector for COVID-19 transmission.
  • Managing appointment scheduling to maximize social distancing between patients.
